blondeee replied: "Hey, if you call a pharmacy they should know. i was on that when i was a kid and i felt weird for weeks. those drugs are horrible and it also turned out i was misdiagnosed and nothing was wrong eccept mean parents lol, but w/e. call a pharmacy, and p.s. I was 13 yrs old when i took it and besides the 35lbs it made me gain which depressed me lol, one of the side effects i got from it was breast milk!!!! wtf?! lowering your dose the way you have though is probably the correct way to stop."

"usually" wellbutrin causes weight loss, nausea, rashes, increased energy, increased stamina(thats why it is used for depresion), restlessness, agitation, dry mouth, irritability and "anxiety" (anxiety can be annoying). "sometimes" it causes blurry vision, headaches(depending on the dosage), spaced out feeling it can cause more serious affects. for those i recommend you do a web search. there are lot of websites. it can cause vivid dreams, loss of conscioussness and in high dosages seizures. Did anyone have these same side effects when starting Wellbutrin XL 150mg? I'm on day 3 of 150mg of Wellbutrin XL for depression after being unsuccessfully treated with Lexapro. I've been nauseated ever since I started taking it (I take it in the morning) and last night, I did not sleep AT ALL. I'm sure these side effects will decrease some or go away completely once my body adjusts (hopefully, anyway) but has anyone else had these same side effects when first starting the medication? If so, did you ask your doctor for any other medication to counteract the side effects while your body adjusted? Or is there anything else that I can do to feel better and sleep while I'm adjusting? Thanks so much! Thanks for all the input! I had my doctor call in a new Rx for Wellbutrin 75mg. The nausea/vomiting stopped once I got on the lower dosage. I will finish out a full week on that the start taking it twice a day to get back up to the 150mg. I think it was just too strong of a dose too soon. I'm still have some trouble sleeping, so she prescribed Xanax to help until my body fully adjusts.

These side effects should diminish over time, but if they are too bothersome, talk to your doctor. You may need to either take another medication to help you sleep for a little while, or maybe switch to a completely different medication. As for the nausea, do you take the medicine on an empty stomach? Try taking it with food. Good luck!!"

Lexaopro made me so sick to my stomack and queeetz even in very small doses . talk to your dr. their are other drugs out there that don't have as bad side effects. i have had depression etc. i take anti depression meds. and anti anxity meds but those two didn't work for me good luck there are more choises out there."

Unfortunatley your psych will never tell you this but he has no valid tests to diagnose mental illness with nor can he cure anyone. If a medication has any adverse reaction for you, request that it be changed until you find one that is tolerable and eases your symptoms. Don't settle for anything less. The sleeping factor: well, you could but the earlier you take it when you get up in the morning the better. That will make it so it kind of gets out of your system a bit so you can sleep."

what is the reason Wellbutrin XL is makeing my period late? I have always had a very predictable cycle. Never late, and never a missed period. The first thing I thought was I was pregnant, but a blood test proved that wrong. I read that it is a possible side effect from Wellbutrin XL ( an antidepressant), athough rare, but I can find an explaination of as to why, and what is in it that causeing this problem? Any ideas?
